So i'm driving home from work......

Post by icantdrift »

i'm rounding this fun little right hander on one of the back roads between work and my house, and all of the sudden i hear *PING*...*CLUNK* and the front left corner of my car drops about 6" all of the sudden. well this ends up pretty much taking away any steering ability i had and now i find myself in the oncoming lane. so i get the bitch back over into the correct lane and pull into the conviniently placed gas station that was nearby. i jack up the car and take one look and my heart just sank  . my world sports coilover has snapped off at the top of the shock rod, pretty much level with the top spring plate.

so now i have to figure out what to do... slap down a grip on some new coilovers (i'd planned on getting something nicer in the future, just not so soon), or try to con apexi into sending me an all new set, which i will promptly sell and buy something different anyway.

so teins, silkroads, or maybe some JIC's... guess we'll see what i can get a good deal on through the shop. hopefully i can pick up some HE's for a decent price.

oh man that sucks:( One of the good things about Tein's is that they are fully reparable. I hear a lot of great stuff about the silkroads as well, too.

i'm pretty sure i'll get the teins, my cost on them will be under 1k shipped so they beat everyone else in price for sure. then hopefully apexi will warranty my broken shit so i can sell it all off as a set and make some money back on it.
