i think so. what do you guys think?
it seems like the difference between impreza and STI
hachi_talk:SR5 - stuck in the shadow of GTS?

I guess if you include the adjustable DCCD swap for a non-STi WRX... it'd probably be close matched. I know there's only one place in the states that can really do the DCCD install on a GC8... I'm assuming, but not at all sure that there wouldn't be many shops (if any except for the aforementioned), that would take on the task. Whereas, you could find just about anywhere that services Toyota's to swap a GTS rear/LSD, etc (or rock it out yourself, for that matter).
It's still a decent amount of work to convert an SR5 to a GTS. But, the chassis is there... so it wouldn't be like converting an NSX to an F50!
Hahaha!

i don't think it matter which one you get really. cause if you're truly hardcore you'd get a 20v so there goes the that difference, you'd upgrade the suspension anyway, get a new/rebuildt/trd lsd any way and gut the interior and put in all new bride seats, sparco woodgrain steering wheel, bubble shifter, and sabelt harness. the final step would be debadging and painting it pink so it'd be awesome. ooh ooh and those cool pedals and floor mats like tsuchiya has.
