would you consider $7,500 a fair price for my car?

I love the look and idea of owning a 944, but have never heard of anyone keeping them for the long run. Given equal reliabilty, the 944 would be my pick. But given the actual reliability of both, keep the 240. That car might not have much power (i know from mine), but it has alot of , uh, "character".

well, I went and test drove a base model '88 944 tonight. And I have to admit that I was extremely disappointed in the power. I wasn't expected to much power, but it was a lot worth than I thought. Not only that, but the syncroes on the tranny were going out too. however, the price tag wasn't too bad....$3,900. And me and Chad could have easily talked the guy down to less than $3K. He had no idea what he had. He's advertising the car as a turbo, but it's not. It only had a turbo badge. What a let down
So, if I get a 944 it will have to be either a 944 S, S2 or a turbo; something with atleast a little bit of grunt behind it.

the handling of the car was awesome. Naturally it had some body roll to it, but it was extremely smooth.
hahaha.....me and Chad were very tempted to kick the ass end out but couldn't find a parking lot big/empty enough to try.
Maybe next time

Plus that thing had so much Body roll and Lack of power the only way to get that thing out would be to Jerk the Ebrake but that was on the wrong side of the seat which was kinda weird plus it needed to be adjusted so bad that when we parked it and I pulled the Ebrake all the way up it still started rolling back. I had to turn off the car and leave it in 1st to keep it from going to far.. hehe.
Overall I was a little dissapointed with the performance of it.. It had so much Body Roll that I was listening splashing water cause I thought that I was in a Boat. I like the seats though. But then again anything is better than the Stock seats of an S13.

I'm going to go test drive a 951 (turbo) next; something this week or early next week. If anyone would like to go, just let me know.
I like having someone else with me b/c they may notice something about the car that I missed. Chad for instance, noticed a couple of negative things about the car while I was doing something else. I.E. the huge dent in the front bumber and hood that was covered by the bra.

Idealy, I would like a black on black, but if worst comes to worst, would settle for a red on black.

fuck it........
I'm keeping the 14 and slapping a t3/t4 on it. I can do a ka-t setup for $1k which is within reason. Then some suspension parts and wheels. done!
that's my final answer (unless I come across a really nice, black Porsche 951
