CHeck this out....

Post by DTCdrift »

My friend Kevin now has a clean ass 85 RX-7 after three years of building it

here are the details

85 Rx-7 GSL-SE
NSX Imola Orange
Wings West BOdy Kit (old school not ricey)
Atkins Rotarty Motor rebuild
TUrbo Conversion
Micro-tech stand alone

made 243 wheel hp @ 8psi at 67xxk on a very conservative tune due to ecu issues (rotories love revs!)
200 ft/lbs of torque
200 whp @ 5psi
the car dynoed 144 whp before the build with I/H/E
stock is 135 flywheel back in 85

printed the wrong chart from xact, but u can see the diff between 5 and 8 psi....the 8psi line was yellow so I traced in black

cool, thats close in power to my 80. What kinda turbo are you running? You should swap to the turbo 2 intake so you get rid off all that turbo piping. I am also running the microtech, pretty nice setup for the money. I drove mine 30 miles to the dyno to have it tuned w/ base programing.
